THE BEGINNING OF TGIF
The beginning of the day started out well because right before we headed for our first Hall 2 Hall announcement, we had a group of Media Studies students' who came up to us to asked us for our picture as they needed it for their assignment. We were glad they approached us. It happened coincidentally actually, we were getting ready and suddenly they approached us out of thin air. Guess both sides were lucky in terms of supporting.
With the Students of Media Studies
We proceeded with the Hall 2 Hall announcement. As I had been busy preparing the write-ups for the team with my group, I did not get the chance to go for the Hall 2 Hall announcement as frequent. Therefore, I was excited. The best part of this 'journey' with Poseidon and the Sea Armies is - The crowd gives you great feedback. Students' are attentive when it comes Poseidon walking into the hall. Even the lecturers are amazed of the outfit we created and asked me WHY? I was also asked - How we made the shell?
One of the lecture hall the Sea Army visited
We managed to cover a lot of lecture halls in about 4 to 5 hours straight. We were going around each hall collecting pledges from students and lecturers to continue the conservation effort on sea turtles. It is not difficult to explain and asked them for their signature to continue supporting this effort - It is rather easy that we have an amount of students' who can and would support not only our campaign but at the same time to be in-support of WWF-Malaysia.
A Good Visitation
One thing I notice about the students' - All they want to know is HOW can they win the Nokia Lumia 920 & 820. Some even asked if they could win an Iphone 5. There were a couple of teasing going around for Nigel as the Poseidon. I am not sure if that is a positive or a negative thing but what I can say it that we have been receiving good feed-backs and even the turtle mobile car has been going well as a lot of them notice the car - Everywhere.
Overall, it has been an experience I would like to have again - Don't think I'll get the chance in college though but in the corporate world - IT'S A DEFINITE. Therefore, before signing off - I would like to thank Ms Lim who has been a good adviser to the group and of course to my External Relations team. She has been there to guide the whole team closely while giving us the advice and idea we can learn from. It has not been easy for her but she continues to guide and support us with all the time she has for this team. I can never forget the guidance she provides us as her students of TARUC :)
Signing Off. . . Goodnight !
