From 0 to 1001
From 0 to 1001, it is not just a figure but it is the process, the process of how the sea armies run the connect 2 conserve campaign which required to collect the unwanted or spoiled mobile phones to save turtles and from 0 phones collected to successfully achieved 1001 unwanted phones for the campaign.
1001 such a big figure of amount phones collected, it is a breaking record. A record that advanced diploma students achieved for the first time in the college.
Let's have some flashback for the campaign, from pre-event hard work to closing ceremony of the campaign. It is like a journey for students to learned to be in a team, start the teamwork that assigned, learned to run the campaign, believe and follow leader instruction, learned to communicate with a group of people who from different classes, learned to have time management to assigned job task and respect others hard work. All these are done by a team, we get succeed because of the team work although there is always have some argument during the process but still we get through it.

It's NOT end yet!!
Throughout
the past one month, the sea armies have been working hard and staying back till late night. All these have built up every single detail, such as the exhibition booths information and designs, the turtle
shells, the costume for Poseidon and etc that made up the whole successful campaign.
During the dismantle session on the last day of event, everything, including
the hard works, seemed to be brushed off together with all the props and
exhibition materials.

Closing Ceremony:
Connect2Conserve Campaign had come
to the last day where a lot of crowds have gathered for the important closing
ceremony. At 4.30p.m, the ceremony had started off with the announcement of
winners for the “Guess the Egg” who will walk away with premium set of Nokia’s
merchandises. Mr Lee Hwee Chuin, the Head of School of Social Science, Arts and
Humanities was invited onto the stage to present the prizes to the winners.
Before that, the eggs in the box were counted by Mr Lee and it turned out to be
136 eggs inside the box. There were a total of 18 winners who are lucky enough
to guess the right amount.

"The Final Sprint" of the campaign
Today is the last day for Connect to Conserve campaign. From my observation and research, I found that some of the sea armies are worried about the target of the recycled phone either can achieve or not. It's already making them feel nerve and keep asking their friends to recycle/donate old phones.
Besides that, some of them are also confused about how the closing ceremony runs. So, we are having the briefing and rehearsal about the closing ceremony before the campaign start.
The Poseidon are practice his own script; One of the sea armies are caring the DSLR in order to shoot the nice photo during the closing ceremony; One of the sea armies are stand on the stage and trying to find the right place for the VIP and winners of the lucky draw and game's booth.

The WWF managed to get pledges from the public so that sea turtles can be saved. The small puzzle pieces slowly to form a big picture where it symbolizes small effort by each person, big difference can be made! The public able to get a lot of information from WWF about conservation projects that they done and what they can do to contribute to this conservation project. The public were delighted as they got chance to help the helpless sea turtles to live a normal life.
