Continue on Day 2 Connect2Conserve Campaign

The WWF managed to get pledges from the public so that sea turtles can be saved. The small puzzle pieces slowly to form a big picture where it symbolizes small effort by each person, big difference can be made! The public able to get a lot of information from WWF about conservation projects that they done and what they can do to contribute to this conservation project. The public were delighted as they got chance to help the helpless sea turtles to live a normal life.

Near completion, good job Tarucian!

The students came with their old and unwanted phones and heart to learn more. While visiting the booth, they asked different questions like "how does this works?","Why this will happen?" and "how does the Nokia link to saving sea turtles?" It really shows the curiosity of the students and the eager to find out in our events.

At the 3D phone recycling factory, the students raised different and difficult questions which involves details of the process that usually being asked by students from School of Technology and School of Arts and Science. However, the committee in charged is well equipped with information to handle these sorts of questions. What really amazed them is when they get to know those poisonous Li-ion battery can be 100% fully recycled! Meaning no waste is given out! However, this recycling process is currently held by a recycling agency in France which is a good news for the sea turtles. This really gave them very good idea of how phone are actually being recycled, thus encouraging them not to leave their phones at home, but bring them out to recycle!

The students are being well-entertained by the game booths in our campaign which one of the hot games is the hit and win! It was a really fun game for everyone as they try to get the highest points. A lot of them tried to throw the phone into the 40-points, some failed and some succeeded. They gave their best and used different and weird strategy to get more points. It was very fun and exciting to have them enjoyed themselves in our campaign.

"Don't let go me bro, I will get the 40-point this time!"

Not forgetting the "Flying Turtle". It was a exciting game where each of them pull the elastic to their max and hoping the "flying turtle" can hit away the obstacles and swim back to the sea. Everyone gave their best and some even sweat like they just had good exercise.

Nokia man, the "not forever alone man" in the center of the hall was a great attraction for the visitors, especially the girls. They came and took many pictures with him while peeping what Nokia man is reading. Such a popular guy indeed in our campaign!

"To be or not to be?"
Making decision to give pledge to save sea turtles.

For the phones that are being collected, the collection went quite well where the students brought their old and unwanted phones to be recycled. There are students who brought more than 10 hand phones to be recycled. which set very good example for other students to learn so that they will not just keep their old phones but get them to be recycled.

More crowd began to rush in on the 2nd day of the Connect2Conserve Campaign which was an encouraging sign for the committee. The publicity team had done their best effort to bring the crowd to Connect2Conserve Campaign and it paid off. Good job and thanks to them! It was a fun and tiring 2nd day of the campaign and sincerely hope that everything will be just fine.
